Toddler Approved: Favorite Attractions at Magic Kingdom

by Shannon

Magic Kingdom has an overwhelming amount of attractions when compared to the other parks at Walt Disney World. With so many rides, shows, and parades to choose from, it can be a bit tricky deciding which will be your toddler’s favorite attractions at Magic Kingdom.

best toddler rides at the magic kingdomOur daughter is almost 2.5 years old and has been to Magic Kingdom more times than she can count — she’s currently counting to 12! You go girl! These are the rides, shows, and parades that she always asks for us to do, talks about on the drive home, requires us to watch on YouTube the next day, tells us about a week later; catch my drift? These are the attractions she absolutely loves the most!

My Toddler’s Favorite Attractions at Magic Kingdom

It’s a Small World

Our toddler is OBSESSED with this ride. She would ride it again and again and again if we let her. Bonus? The lines are usually short and move quickly. If you arrive to the park early and ride this first, there’s no need for a Fastpass!

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

This is definitely our toddler’s second favorite ride. She really enjoys this one! The Dumbo ride also has an indoor play area that she likes to explore too! Air conditioning, lots of seating (great spot to nurse a baby if you have little ones), and as soon as you’re done playing, you hop right back in line for the ride!

Peter Pan’s Flight

All kids love this ride, and this is clearly evident by the extremely long wait. If this is on your toddler’s must-see list, you 110% need a Fastpass. Do not wait 100 minutes for a 2 minute long ride.

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel

We always ride this! The wait is never long and this is a great choice to kill time before a show starts, or while you’re waiting for your next Fastpass. This ride is fantastic for photos of your little ones!

Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid

This is also a requested ride by our toddler. It is extremely colorful, has a lot of fun music, and entertainment as you wait. Usually the wait is not too long for this ride either.

Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire

We love to watch this show! Our toddler gets SO excited! She claps and dances and has a smile on her face the entire time. Your little one will get to see lots of familiar characters, songs, and dancing. This is a must watch on the Castle stage! Multiple showtimes each day, check the Disney World app or Showtimes guide.

Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party

What toddler wouldn’t want the opportunity to dance with Woody & Jessie (and other characters too!)?! Our daughter LOVES this! She literally gets to dance in the street in front of the castle with her favorite characters. This one is so much fun for everyone in your party! Multiple showtimes each day, check the Disney World app or Showtimes guide.

If we get to do all of the above attractions during one of our Magic Kingdom days, we call that a HUGE success! A nap on the car ride home is a big WIN too!!
