Disney’s Polynesian Resort DVC Studio Remodeled Room Tour 2021

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort offers both standard hotel rooms and Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Deluxe Studios. Both room types have just recently received an update and I was very excited to stay at the DVC Studios in October for the kick-off of Walt Disney World’s 50th birthday! The rooms were absolutely BEAUTIFUL and in comparison to the last time I had stayed at the Polynesian (in a standard room, before the remodel) — I was blown away by how nice and fresh everything felt. The Polynesian is a stunning Deluxe Resort at Walt Disney World with monorail, boat, or walking …

Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are a really special place to stay on your Walt Disney World vacation if you’re looking for something different than the standard hotel room. The Cabins are individual, prefab buildings that 1000% remind me of Lincoln logs!! Not only are the Fort Wilderness Cabins super spacious with a separate living room, kitchen and dining space, and bedroom; they are pet-friendly, sleep 6, and have outdoor space available to use as well! The Cabins are just a short boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom and offer bus service to the other parks. One …

There are 5 resorts at Walt Disney World that fall into the Moderate Resort category. Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts List Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Theming at Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts The theming at Moderate resorts is definitely less *Disney* than …

Character “Meets” are Returning at Walt Disney World 2021

Traditional character meet and greets have been unavailable at Walt Disney World since the parks reopened from the COVID closures back in July of 2020. Instead of meeting your favorite characters in their daily meeting spots indoors, Disney has been staging characters around the parks outdoors — both in cavalcades that quickly pass by and a waving from a distance fashion. Disney recently announced that character meets would be returning, not exactly as they were before but in a modified capacity. Let’s take a look at which character meets are returning and what we can expect from these experiences now. …

Early Theme Park Entry at Walt Disney World | Hotel & Ride List

When you stay at a Disney Resort hotel (or other participating hotel) on your Walt Disney World vacation, you get access to Early Theme Park Entry at all 4 parks each morning. Early Theme Park Entry allows hotel guests to enter and begin riding rides at the 4 theme parks 30 minutes before official park opening time each morning. And while 30 minutes doesn’t seem like much time, it’s an INCREDIBLY VALUABLE half-hour at Walt Disney World. This perk is most definitely something you’ll want to take advantage of on your vacation. You’ll experience the lowest crowds of the day …

My Day Using Disney Genie+ at Magic Kingdom

Yesterday was the first day that the new Disney Genie+ service was available at Walt Disney World! If you need a refresher on what Disney Genie+ is, read this post FIRST. I have a certain way that I like to strategize my park days in order to tackle the MOST rides with the LEAST amount of time waiting in lines. I followed that overall strategy during my time at Magic Kingdom while testing out Disney Genie+ and now I’m going to recap my day with you! In future posts I will deep dive into park strategies utilizing Disney Genie+ at …

August 2021 Disney Dream Cruise | Embarkation Day Trip Report

I just got back from cruising on the Disney Dream after 18 long months of the Disney Cruise Line closures and I am happy to report that I had an absolutely AMAZING time onboard! Yes, things are different. But I can honestly say that Disney is doing a wonderful job at keeping the magic of cruising with Disney alive while also ensuring their guests are safe onboard. Let’s take a look at my Embarkation Day aboard the Disney Dream! Day 1 | Embarkation Day Arriving to the Port When completing your online check-in prior to sailing, you’ll be able to …

Will Very Merriest After Hours Include More Than Boo Bash?

With the (hopefully temporary) cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year, Walt Disney World is now offering After Hours events at the Magic Kingdom to celebrate the holiday season. Disney’s Boo Bash After Hours event is currently taking place on select nights through Halloween. You can read my thoughts on that event right here. Spoiler alert, it wasn’t my favorite and I most definitely missed the traditional Halloween party of years past. So will Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours be worth the higher price tag? Let’s dive into all of the details of …
