Best FastPass at Magic Kingdom: Walt Disney World FastPass+ Guide

Magic Kingdom is the only park at Walt Disney World that does not use FastPass tiers. This means you can select any three FastPass attractions that you’d like — depending on availability, of course.

Remember that guests staying on property at a Walt Disney World resort get to make their FastPass selections at 60 days prior to their trip date, vs. 30 days prior for guests staying off-property.

With a whopping 25 FastPass attractions to choose from at Magic Kingdom, it’s important to select FastPasses that will help you best use your time at the parks!

Keep in mind, all of my recommendations are based on the MOST POPULAR rides with the longest wait times. Of course, if your family wants to select another FastPass option, that’s absolutely fine!! These recommendations will just ensure you knock out the attractions with the longest Standby lines via a FastPass.

Best Magic Kingdom FastPass Selections

Adults & Families with Kids Over 40″ (or smaller kiddos who plan to use Rider Switch)

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Peter Pan’s Flight

EITHER Space Mountain OR Big Thunder Mountain Railroad OR Splash Mountain (in the hotter months) — however, if you don’t have interest in Peter Pan, choose two of these.

Whichever mountain(s) you do NOT choose, you will want to attempt to ride at rope drop.

Families with Toddlers or Preschoolers Under 38″ (no plans to use Rider Switch)

Peter Pan’s Flight

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

EITHER Princess Fairytale Hall OR Mickey and Minnie at Town Square Theatre OR Tomorrowland Speedway (32″ height requirement)

Choose whichever third option better suits your family. If you have character dining reservations you may not even want to meet characters at the parks. If you don’t have any character dining reservations, I would definitely choose either Mickey and Minnie or one set of the Princesses.

Attractions You Should NOT Book Via FastPass at Magic Kingdom

Totally nothing against these attractions, they just wouldn’t be the best use of a FastPass. The Standby wait times for these are typically short so a FastPass is not needed!

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin

Mickey’s PhilharMagic

Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor

Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid

Mad Tea Party

Dumbo — The air-conditioned play area in the queue is FANTASTIC for little ones! You won’t want to rush this one!
