What can my family do at Hollywood Studios if my kids are under 38”?!
I get this question A LOT! So, let’s chat about it!
If your kiddos are too little for the majority (aka almost all) of the rides at Hollywood Studios, don’t cross the park off your list! There’s still so much that they CAN do (and will LOVE!).
Rides without Height Requirements at Hollywood Studios
With the addition of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in 2020, there are now TWO rides at Hollywood Studios without a height requirement:
- Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railways
- Toy Story Mania
The rest of the rides at Hollywood Studios do have varying height requirements.
You can see a full list of Walt Disney World height requirements right here.
Baby/Toddler Friendly Shows at Hollywood Studios
- Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
- Disney Junior Dance Party!
- For the First Time in Forever (Frozen Sing-a-Long)
- Muppet*Vision 3D
- March of the First Order
- Incredibles Dance Party
- Lightning McQueen Racing Academy
- Voyage of the Little Mermaid
- this can be hit or miss with young ones, could be considered scary
Characters at Hollywood Studios
- Jessie, Woody & Buzz (Toy Story Land)
- Pluto, Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, Fancy Nancy (Animation Courtyard)
- Mickey and Minnie (Red Carpet Dreams)
- Donald and Daisy (Park entrance)
- Chip n Dale & Goofy (near Muppets)
- Olaf (Celebrity Spotlight)
- Mike and Sulley (Walt Disney Presents)
- Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Frozone, and Edna Mode (Pixar Place)
- Cruz Ramirez (next to Racing Academy)
- Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, BB8 (Star Wars Launch Bay)
- though will depend on child in my opinion whether they’ll like these ones when super young, my daughter wasn’t fond of Kylo Ren and Chewbacca until older
There are SO many shows and characters at Hollywood Studios that your little ones will LOVE! Definitely don’t skip this park just because at first glance it doesn’t seem like there are a lot of rides you can do with a toddler or a baby.
Don’t forget you can also take advantage of Rider Switch! You can read about what Rider Switch it and how it works right here.

Our daughter loved toy story land before she was 38 inches. The theming is so awesome. Crossing our fingers for the last inch for slinky dog in September.
