My daughter and I loved staying at the Grand Californian Hotel during our Disneyland trip! This hotel is absolutely beautiful! The lobby reminded us of the Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World (which is one of our family’s favorite resorts!) and the location could not be beat (you can enter the Disney California Adventure park right from the hotel!). If you’re looking for a high-end stay at Disneyland, this is the resort for you!
Let’s take a look at the Studio-size room at the Grand Californian Hotel at the Disneyland Resort!
As we entered the room, there was a small alcove that was perfect for parking our stroller in the evening as well as hooks on the wall for hanging a backpack or jacket.
In the entryway space there also was a closet with full-length mirrored doors. Inside the closet we found robes, hangers, a safe, ironing board, luggage rack, and extra pillows and blankets.
Directly next to the closet was the “kitchenette space.” Glasses, an ice bucket, Keurig, k-cups, and mini fridge were available.
The room features two queen size beds. I always appreciate beds that have space underneath them to slide luggage. It’s nice to be able to hide the luggage out of the way!
A small nightstand with drawer and outlets is situated between the two beds.
Across from the beds, the room offers a media center that doubles as a dresser, a large TV, a small desk and chair with mirror (could definitely double as a vanity), and a loveseat.
The bathroom had an open-to-the-bedroom vanity and sink area, and then a private shower and toilet area.
The vanity featured a super large mirror with really great lighting! Small toiletries were offered as well as a cute Mickey step stool for the little ones (my daughter loved this little touch!).
Our room only had a walk-in shower. I’m not sure if any of the studio size rooms have tubs available (definitely ask though if you book here because I know most little ones prefer a tub over a shower!).
The shower itself was beautiful! The finishings were higher end and the rain shower felt great!
My daughter especially loved all the Chip ‘n’ Dale art featured throughout the room!
Overall, we loved staying here for the PERFECT location into the parks and Downtown Disney.
It definitely felt really special for our first trip to Disneyland!
