Value resorts are a great choice if you’re looking to get the most bang-for-your-buck on your Walt Disney World vacation. You still get all the perks of staying on property at Walt Disney World with a much lower price tag when compared to a Moderate or Deluxe resort.
Of all the Value resorts, All Star Movies features fan-favorite theming including Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians and Fantasia!
We recently stayed in the 101 Dalmatians section of All Star Movies and my kids couldn’t have loved it more!
All Star Movies Room Tour
We arrived to the resort after sunset and left before the sunrise so excuse the dark photos! Here’s a look at the 101 Dalmatian building exterior. Massive Pongo and Perdita statues greet you — my kids just recently watched 101 Dalmatians so they loved this!
We had a room on the top floor — which is something I recommend you request when staying at a Value or Moderate resort. I’ve had ground floor rooms before that were SO noisy because you could hear every person that passed at night and early in the morning.
Something I really love about the recently renovated rooms at All Star Movies is the murphy bed / dining table combo (you’ll find this setup in Pop Century and the Art of Animation family suites, too).
The room feels much larger when the bed isn’t being used and allows for ample floor space for little ones as well as a great spot to eat, color, etc.
I also love that the rooms have hard floors instead of carpet. They just feel cleaner — Our Son has extreme dust-mite allergies and asthma and I always feel better about him sleeping in rooms with hard floors vs carpet.
To open the murphy bed, you simply move the chairs from the table and pull on the handles! The table itself folds up underneath the bed as you’re opening it.
Clearly the bed-in-the-wall was a hit with Our Daughter! She actually was really excited to see Huey, Dewey, and Louie hiding inside!
Next to the window there was a little kitchenette space with coffee maker and fridge.
Across from the bed, a TV with media center that doubled as your dresser.
The bed is definitely high enough that you could slide your suitcases underneath (which is always a plus! I hate when they’re all shoved in a corner of the room, especially if you’re vacationing for an extended period of time).
The bathroom/closet area is small but definitely doable. The vanity and sink is separate from the shower/tub and toilet. Plus theres a sliding door that separates the vanity from the bedroom so three people could get dressed at the same time with privacy.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this peek inside a room at All Star Movies! I definitely recommend a stay here if you’re considering a Value resort on your next Walt Disney World vacation! The renovated rooms combined with super fun theming make All Star Movies my personal favorite of the All Star resorts.

Thank you so much! We recently changed our reservation to all-star movies (per my son’s request) for our upcoming first trip to WDW! I was a little hesitant about staying at a value resort but your review definitely makes me more relieved and excited!
