Grand Floridian DVC Studio Room Tour | Standard View

The Grand Floridian is such a beautiful resort! I always am so excited whenever we snag a reservation here. We recently stayed in a DVC Studio at the Grand Floridian for my birthday and it was perfect! This was our first time staying at the Grand Floridian since the walking path to the Magic Kingdom opened and having the ability to walk from a resort other than the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower was THE BEST!

We had a Standard View room but the view was of the monorail track which we loved! My daughter enjoyed sitting on the balcony and guessing which color monorail would drive by next!

One thing that I really like about the Studios at the Grand Floridian is the ability to sleep 5. I love being able to book a Studio (at a lower price point than a One Bedroom) that still allows both of my kids to have their own bed.

In addition to the queen size bed and the queen size sleeper sofa, a single size bed folds down from underneath the tv.

My daughter always loves sleeping on these little beds and my kids always sleep better when they’re not sharing. Win win!

DVC Studios also feature a kitchenette with mini fridge, sink, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and some plates, utensils, and mugs/cups.

On longer trips we appreciate the full kitchen that comes with a One Bedroom but for quick overnights, the Studio kitchenette is perfect!

I always enjoy a cup of Joffrey’s coffee in the morning! 🙂

Next to the kitchenette is a small closet that holds linens for the beds, hangers, an ironing board and iron, hair dryer, safe, and luggage rack.

Across from the kitchenette and closet is the *beautiful* bathroom.

The mirror has a little tv in it! And the shower is seriously spa-like with all of the marble and the rain shower head.

The other half of the bathroom has another shower plus a tub and the toilet. Both spaces can be accessed from the main hall and completely closed off from one another. Which is really great when you have lots of people getting ready at once.

Individual toiletries are included too.

The Queen size bed was very comfortable and as a bonus it features a ton of storage space!

There are two large drawers on the side of the bed (keep in mind you don’t have a dresser since the unit under the tv is actually a single bed).

And also a space to store luggage at the front of the bed.

Next to the bed is a small night stand with two drawers, the pull-out couch and a small coffee table.

Across from the couch is a seating/ dining area with a table and two chairs.

Across from the bed is the tv and the pull-down single bed.

The Grand Floridian is one of my personal favorite resorts on property! I love the feeling of elegance I get when I’m here! I also love staying close to the Magic Kingdom. The monorail and boat transportation provided were always great but the ability to walk is the real cherry on top!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at a Grand Floridian DVC Studio! Let me know any questions I can answer in the comments below. 🙂

  1. Such detail. When I can travel again (I live in Ireland) and I’m dying to bring my baby boy to Disney. I will have to consider this place. How brilliant. Thanks for a great review.

Favorite resorts! It’s on my bucket list to stay in a one bedroom DVC here. We have only done a regular studio when our kiddos were little. Thanks for the great room tour!

  3. Thanks for sharing your photos and reviewing the DVC studio!! It looks so beautiful!! As a former CM (from CA), when I’d stay on property, I usually would stay at value resorts bc the discounts were the deepest there ha. This is on my bucketlist and I really hope to stay here someday!

  4. Loved this room tour! We were given a complementary upgrade to stay at GF during our upcoming trip, and I am SO looking forward to it! Are the boats running for transportation and do you know which park(s) they’re running to if so?
