If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option while vacationing at Walt Disney World, but still want to take advantage of the benefits of staying on property, you’ll want to consider staying at a Value Resort on your trip.
There are 5 resorts at Walt Disney World that fall into the Value Resort category. These are all located in the same general area on Walt Disney World property and feature super fun, over-the-top theming both inside the rooms and out.
If you’re looking for a hotel that screams DISNEY, these are the spots for you!
Walt Disney World Value Resorts List
- All-Star Movies Resort
- All-Star Music Resort
- All-Star Sports Resort
- Art of Animation Resort
- Pop Century Resort
Standard Room vs Family Suite
Each of the 5 Value Resorts at Walt Disney World offer standard hotel rooms with 2 beds; however, both Art of Animation Resort and All-Star Music Resort offer family suites.
Family suites have a one-bedroom sleeping space that is separate from the living space.
They also offer 3 different beds, a small kitchenette and two full bathrooms.
These family suites are pricier than the standard rooms at Value Resorts but they may be a better option for large families that would need 2 connecting rooms to fit everyone anyways.
Theming at Walt Disney World Value Resorts
The theming at Value Resorts is definitely one of their best features! My kids LOVE the over-the-top Disney theming you find at these properties.
If you have a Toy Story Fan, you may want to consider All-Star Movies Resort where you can request a room in the Toy Story section and find statues of Woody and Buzz that are as large as the building!
Another favorite is the 101 Dalmations section of the same resort.
The nostalgia you’ll feel in Pop Century is a ton of fun! My personal favorite spot is where you find Mr & Mrs Potatohead.
Have a Little Mermaid, Nemo, Lighting McQueen, or Lion King fan? Then Art of Animation is the spot for you! The theming at Art of Animation is what dreams are made of for little kids!
If you have a sports fan, you’ll definitely want to check out the All-Star Sports Resort!
Pools at Walt Disney World Value Resorts
All of the Value Resorts at Walt Disney World have multiple pools!
There will be a main feature pool and then secondary pool(s). You could visit any of the pools on the property you’re staying at.
While there aren’t any slides at the Value Resort pools, there are some splash areas and kid pools.
Our favorite Value Resort pool can be found at Art of Animation. We love the Big Blue Pool in the Nemo section of the resort but also are big fans of the theming at the Cars and Little Mermaid pools as well.
Dining at Walt Disney World Value Resorts
When it comes to dining options at the Value Resorts, you’ll find quick service options and pizza delivery available.
The quick service dining will be cafeteria style. You’ll see a lot of variety available — which I think is great for younger, pickier eaters.
You won’t find any table service at Value Resorts so keep that in mind if that’s your usual go-to.
You’d want to visit other resorts to dine or make reservations inside of the parks.
Transportation at Walt Disney World Value Resorts
Transportation options at Value Resorts used to be limited to just the buses but that changed with the opening of the Disney Skyliner in 2019.
All-Star Movies, All-Star Sports, and All-Star Music have buses available that will take you to the 4 theme parks and Disney Springs.
Art of Animation and Pop Century offer buses as well as the Disney Skyliner that will take you to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.
My kids absolutely love the Skyliner and consider that a ride of it’s own!
Walt Disney World Value Resort Ranking
5. All-Star Sports
All-Star Sport ranks last on my list of Value Resorts at Walt Disney World because it seems like it is always FULL with groups traveling for events. Whether that be a cheerleading competition or baseball tournament at Wide World of Sports, you’ll find a lot of groups at this resort (and filling the pool, dining hall, etc.)
4. All-Star Movies
I am a big fan of the theming and the very nice room renovations at All-Star Movies! I honestly would tie All-Star Movies with All-Star Music if you’re interested in a Standard Hotel Room.
3. All-Star Music
All-Star Music came out slightly ahead here because of the Family Suites option that none of the other All-Star resorts offer. These rooms have also recently completed a full refurbishment and they look great!
2. Art of Animation
I absolutely LOVE the theming at Art of Animation. Disney outdid themselves with this property. I love the option of both Family Suites and Standard Rooms, and all of the rooms recently underwent a renovation!
The main feature pool here is wonderful and the Skyliner as a transportation option is a definite plus.
1. Pop Century
Pop Century holds the top Value Resort spot for me! I love the theming, the updated rooms, the price point (less expensive than Art of Animation), and the access to the Skyliner!
I hope this Value Resort overview is helpful! Definitely check out the individual room tours if you’d like to see more!
