Looking for an amazing breakfast buffet at Walt Disney World that won’t break your budget? Look no further than Trail’s End at Disney’s Fort Wilderness! Our Daughter and I recently dined here and LOVED the buffet offerings (and I especially loved how affordable it was)! Let’s take a look!
Trail’s End is located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. You can get to Trail’s End via boat from the Magic Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge, or the Contemporary. You also could travel via bus, car, or Minnie Van.
Trail’s End is located within Fort Wilderness at an area called The Settlement. So if you drive or take a bus, you’ll have to take an internal bus to get to where you’re eating. The boats however will take you right to The Settlement.
Of course if you’re staying at Fort Wilderness and have access to a golf cart, you could drive and park that at the settlement as well!
Our Daughter and I drove so we took the internal bus. We didn’t wait longer than 5 minutes for a bus to come and then were on the bus for about 10 minutes. So plan accordingly for the internal bus ride with your arrival times.
Checking into Trail’s End for our breakfast was a breeze and we were seated quickly. Trail’s End is a buffet so after ordering your beverage(s) — they have POG juice!! — you can hit the buffet — as many times as you’d like!
Here’s what was offered on our visit.
Trail’s End Breakfast Buffet Offerings
There were plenty of cold offerings like cereal, fruit, yogurts with toppings, etc.
Trail’s End also offers a ton of pastry and bread options too. The chocolate croissant was really good!
Loved the variety of different bread/waffle toppings!
I’m usually a fan of the warm and savory offerings, and Trail’s End had plenty in this category as well!
The cheesy hashbrowns and chicken and waffles were DELICIOUS!
I missed grabbing a photo of the breakfast pizza (which was good!), sausage and bacon, but I promise there was no shortage (except after Our Daughter went through the buffet line, that girl LOVES sausage and bacon haha!).
There were plenty of sweet offerings too! This skillet of cinnamon buns with the pecan sauce was SO GOOD!
And obviously no buffet is complete without Mickey waffles. I ate so many of these and I have NO REGRETS!!
After you’re done with breakfast grab yourself some ICE CREAM!! Our Daughter went for a nice dollop with a donut hole on the side. SMART GIRL.
Our Daughter’s favorites were the cereal (because she liked pouring it by herself!), bacon, sausage, Mickey waffles, and fruit.
I really loved the cheesy hashbrown casserole, the variety of egg offerings, the cinnamon bun skillet, the breakfast pizza, and the Mickey waffles (of course). The chicken and waffles was good too!
In addition to the delicious buffet offerings, Our Daughter enjoyed the theming of the restaurant. She said we looked like we were in an old saloon like on Sheriff Callie, hahaha!
Trail’s End definitely has a warm, country western feeling. It’s almost like you’re visiting an old cabin or lodge. Fun for everyone!
Trail’s End Breakfast Buffet Price
Let’s talk pricing! Adults are $25 and children 3-9 are $14! Little ones under the age of 3 can eat from the buffet at no-cost. For a buffet breakfast at Disney World, this is a really affordable option (so affordable that I don’t recommend dining here as a table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan).
Our Daughter and I both enjoyed our breakfast and I definitely felt like we got our monies worth. This would be a great option for a family with picky eaters because the offerings aren’t super adventurous (like Boma, for example).
After your breakfast hang around for a pony ride or play on the nearby playground! Or if you’re feeling adventurous, take a boat to Wilderness Lodge or the Contemporary to explore!
