The Little Mermaid themed rooms at the Art of Animation recently underwent a refurbishment and they’re feeling fresher than ever before (no more carpet PLUS queen beds!)
If you’re looking to stay at the Art of Animation resort but do not want to stay in a more expensive Family Suite, the Little Mermaid rooms are your “standard” hotel room option.
There’s so much to love about the Art of Animation resort! The Disney theming is some of the best on property; especially for littles! There are 3 pools and they all are great (The Big Blue Pool is a must!).
You also now have access to the Skyliner at Art of Animation — a major plus!
We enjoyed a night at the Art of Animation in a Little Mermaid room and were so pleased with the room refresh. Let’s take a look!
The rooms feature two queen beds (these were full-size before the room refresh) with cute themed headboards that are sure to delight Little Mermaid fans!
The bed frames have space underneath to store luggage when not in use! This is such a great space saver and I’m so glad they’re switching beds to these as they remodel the older resorts / build the new ones!
Between the two beds is a small nightstand with outlets and a drawer.
Across from the beds and closest to the door is the little seating area with a small table and mirror.
Next to the seating area is the media console with tv. This space also acts as your dresser AND your kitchenette with a mini-fridge and coffee maker.
The bathroom vanity area is separated from the room by a curtain.
The vanity has just the basics with a mirror, sink, hair dryer and magnifying mirror. Anyone else terrified to look in those or is it just me? HAHA!
You also have your closet and hanging space in the bathroom vanity area.
There’s a door that separates the toilet and tub/shower from the vanity area.
And how fun is the shower tile?! You want thingamabobs? This shower’s got twenty!
Overall we were really happy with the room. My kids absolutely loved the theming! They enjoyed riding the Skyliner just for the heck of it! And swimming in the pool. These are Value rooms so they’re usually some of the more affordable options on property.
