Be Our Guest is the most popular restaurant at the Magic Kingdom, and quite possibly the hardest restaurant at Disney World to book a reservation at. Not only is the food absolutely delicious but the theming and ambiance are fantastic. Reservations are necessary for all 3 meals of the day although breakfast and lunch are considered quick service and dinner is table service. If you are hoping to dine inside the Beast’s castle, I highly recommend booking your reservation at the 180 day mark (especially if you have a large party). Let’s take a peek at breakfast at Be Our Guest!
Breakfast at Be Our Guest
Be Our Guest opens at 8 am each morning (some days a little earlier, check your My Disney Experience app to confirm). We personally like to book the earliest slot possible for breakfast in the park so that we can take advantage of early entry into Fantasyland and little to no crowds for photos!
Now that the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show has moved to the castle, everyone is allowed down Main Street an hour prior to park opening. There are no longer empty park perks to booking breakfast at the Crystal Palace. If you want the opportunity to take photos in an empty park, you absolutely MUST book at Be Our Guest. You will be allowed beyond the castle stage BEFORE the Welcome Show in order to make your dining reservation at the Beast’s castle. This means empty photos in Fantasyland — The Carousel, the back of the castle, etc! Usually after you’re done eating breakfast, you can hop in line for Mine Train and Peter Pan too! Totally a perk of breakfast at Be Our Guest and 110% worth the booking if you ask me! Just be sure to book a reservation BEFORE park opening!
When you arrive at the restaurant, you’ll check-in with the cast members outside. Once you’re welcomed into the castle, you’ll be met with the display of knight’s armor before approaching your ordering screen.
If you are staying on property and your magic band is linked to your credit card, you can use that to order. Otherwise, you’ll have to ask for an enchanted rose puck. If you’re using the Disney Dining Plan, breakfast will be one quick service credit. One thing to note for those not using the DDP is that breakfast is a prix fixe meal ($25 adults, $14 kids) and includes a drink, entree, and an assortment of pastries for the table to share.
Once you place your order, you’ll be directed into the main dining area — The Grand Ballroom. If you want to sit in The Grand Ballroom, feel free to choose a table! But you also are able to dine in The West Wing or The Castle Gallery. No matter where you choose to eat, make sure you take a few minutes to explore the beautiful details of all of the rooms!
The Grand Ballroom is the largest of all the dining areas in Beast’s castle. The Grand Ballroom features a beautifully painted ceiling and gorgeous chandeliers. There are also large windows that look out into the snowy evening and a balcony that wraps the room.
The Castle Gallery is inspired by Belle’s library and features paintings of Belle and the Beast. The feature of this room is the large statues of Belle and the Beast that dance together in the center of the room.
The West Wing is everything you’d expect of the Beast’s study. The room is very dark and moody and features a fireplace and the enchanted rose. The West Wing is by far the most popular area to sit so if you’re hoping for a table there, grab one if you see one open up.
Once you’ve decided where you’d like to sit, you can grab utensils, napkins, and fill your drinks from the stations within the rooms. After a few minutes a cast member will come to your table with your food on their cart. They find you via your magic band or the enchanted rose puck.
We had the Feast a la Gaston and the Open Faced Bacon and Egg Sandwich. Both were good and served with a side of fruit and of course the plate of pastries.
After dining, make sure you pause for a photo with the beautiful stained glass window featuring Belle, the Beast, and the enchanted rose.
Overall, breakfast at Be Our Guest is a little bit pricy for what you’re actually getting but the ambiance within the restaurant as well as the ability to book early and enjoy a bit of the Magic Kingdom without all of the crowds makes the meal worth it for me!
Have you had breakfast at Be Our Guest? We absolutely LOVE lunch here! The food is fantastic and not too expensive! Whether you choose breakfast, lunch, or dinner a reservation at Be Our Guest is always a good choice!
