Breakfast is now available at the Plaza Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom! My family and I decided to give it a try earlier this week and it most definitely did not disappoint. In fact, not only was the menu affordable (for Disney dining), it was delicious too! Let’s dive into our breakfast experience at the Plaza Restaurant!
The Plaza Restaurant is located at the end of Main Street with a fantastic view of Cinderella Castle! Upon checking in with the restaurant hostess, we received a buzzer so that we could walk around a bit while waiting for our table. The Plaza Restaurant is right behind the yellow tables and umbrellas which make for a wonderful photo spot with the perfect castle backdrop while you wait! We waited about 5 minutes before our buzzer went off and our table was ready.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with subtle touches of Christmas!
The restaurant itself is not very big (which I really enjoyed, it felt cozy and not overcrowded); theres a main seating area and a solarium.
I recommend asking for a table by the windows or inside of the solarium. The view of the castle makes your breakfast that much better!
Let’s take a look at the Plaza Restaurant breakfast menu!
Disney Pro Tip: Dining anywhere on property with small children? I always recommend bringing in a snack or two to tide them over while waiting for their food to arrive! Mandarin oranges were the winner for us this visit.
What a good looking family I stumbled upon… oh wait. Thats my family, hehe!
I ordered the All-American Classic Breakfast Platter. It was delicious with plenty of food! Honestly my daughter and I could have shared and both been satisfied! Keep that in mind, the portions are a really good size.
My eggs were good (and I’m weird about Disney eggs), the biscuit was fluffy and the waffles were perfect!
My husband ordered the Lobster-Fried Green Tomato Eggs Benedict and really enjoyed it! He said there was a really nice amount of lobster and that the hollandaise sauce was delicious. The fact that the eggs were served on fried green tomatoes was super interesting and he said he would most definitely order this again!
My daughter (just turned 3 aka picky eater stage) had the Kids Mickey Waffles served with Sausage & Bacon. We asked for a side of whipped cream and she was delighted by that and the sprinkles on her waffles! The waffles are served on a banana cream sauce that was super delicious! I wished that I had some for my waffles! This portion size was great and honestly could have been big enough for me. I don’t like to pig out on meals at Disney most days because I like to leave room for lots of snacks and treats, haha!
Overall we were very happy with our breakfast at the Plaza Restaurant! It’s an affordable option when compared to Crystal Palace and Be Our Guest, the portion sizes were great and the location of the restaurant paired with the smaller/cozier inside is reason enough for us to make this a regular breakfast stop!
One thing to keep in mind when booking breakfast at the Magic Kingdom, the Welcome Show is now on the castle stage so booking a pre-opening reservation slot will not promise you a nearly empty Main Street USA. That being said, I do still recommend booking the earliest slot that you can because the crowds will be minimal and you’ll be able to eat and finish in time to watch the Welcome Show (a MUST if you have young children) and hop on some rides before the masses join you!
Happy Dining!
I can see him use new words he has learned in his work constantly.
